Wichita: Where Every Street’s a Splash Pad Now

Wichita Weekend Report - 6/6/2025

Hey friends,
Wichita turned into a giant kiddie pool this week—streets flooded, basements soaked, and someone was literally canoeing through the neighborhood. If your sump pump’s working overtime, you’re not alone 😅

We still managed to sneak downtown for Riverfest—walked the river, crushed some greasy food, and watched hot air balloons light up the sky. Pure chaos. Pure fun.

Also—just dropped a new YouTube video: “Is Bel Aire Really the #1 Suburb in Wichita?” Give it a watch and let me know if you agree.

Here’s what’s goin’ on this weekend 👇

In Today's Weekend Report:

  • L.W. Clapp Memorial Park Glow-Up!

  • Weekend Events To Check Out

  • New Video: Is Bel Aire Really The #1 Suburb In Wichita?

  • New Listings I’m Loving!

L.W. Clapp Memorial Park Glow-Up!

Big news for east Wichita—L.W. Clapp Memorial Park has officially reopened with some amazing new upgrades! Located at 4611 E. Harry St., the park now features Wichita’s first inclusive playground, updated walking trails, a stunning public art sculpture, and even a brand-new dog park (opening soon at 1950 S. Bluff St.).

I haven’t made it out there yet, but it’s definitely on my list. The inclusive playground is especially exciting—designed so kids of all abilities can play side by side. It's awesome to see Wichita making spaces that are more welcoming, accessible, and fun for everyone.

Whether you’re walking the trails, bringing the kiddos to play, or planning a future pup date at the dog park, this looks like a spot worth checking out!
