Everything greened up fast with all the rain lately—and we’re actually getting some cooler days to start off May! Our family’s been enjoying evening bike rides and getting the garden going for the year. Just crossing our fingers the summer heat holds off a little longer.

It’s Parade of Homes season in Wichita—which basically means you’ve got the perfect excuse to peek inside a bunch of brand-new homes (over 100 of them!) across the area. I get to do this kind of thing for a living, so I’ve already scoped out some of the best spots. If you’re thinking about building, or just love dreaming up future house plans, check out neighborhoods like Castaway, Henwick, Brookfield, Freestone, The Coves, Fontana, and Talia. Lots of great stuff out there.

The tour is totally free, super casual, and runs for two more weekends. Whether you’re actively house hunting or just looking for ideas, it’s a fun way to spend an afternoon. Grab a coffee, bring a friend, and go see what’s out there—you might leave with more than just Pinterest inspiration.

This weekend, something fun is launching just outside Wichita—Mega Pines Mini Golf is officially opening in Andover! This 18-hole course is completely themed around national parks, with each hole modeled after iconic landscapes like Yosemite, Denali, and Zion. It's outdoorsy, creative, and just the right amount of competitive.

To celebrate the big opening, they’re throwing a party with food trucks, yard games, and a cozy gift shop stocked with park-themed merch. It’s perfect for a laid-back Sunday hang, date idea, or spontaneous mini golf battle with friends.
