There’s a lot going on around Wichita right now. The Parade of Homes is kicking off, I’m giving away two free tickets to a local event where you could win a kitchen remodel (seriously), and I’ve got some great events lined up for the weekend. It’s that time of year again! The Parade of Homes is back, and it’s basically Wichita’s version of getting to peek inside everyone’s dream houses—without needing an invitation. Whether you’re seriously house hunting or just love a good kitchen and closet moment, this is one of those spring events people look forward to every year.

The Parade takes place over three weekends—April 11–12, April 18–19, and April 25–26, 2026, with homes open Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00–5:00 PM. That means plenty of chances to go once… or go back again (because you definitely will find a favorite).

Homes are spread all across Wichita and the surrounding areas, so you can make it as casual or as full-day as you want. Pick a few nearby stops or plan a full afternoon driving around exploring different neighborhoods—it’s completely self-guided and easy to customize.

What makes it so fun is the variety. You’ll walk through everything from cozy, practical layouts to fully custom homes with all the extras—think statement kitchens, spa-like bathrooms, and outdoor spaces that make you want to host immediately. It’s also one of the best ways to see what’s trending right now in home design and maybe get a few ideas for your own space.

And the best part? It’s completely free. No tickets, no pressure—just show up and start touring.
