How about that weather this week? A few 70-degree days in August felt like a gift. We soaked it up—ate dinner outside at Meddy’s, biked around the neighborhood, and spent plenty of time in the backyard. Definitely a nice break from the summer heat.

Smarter public-private investment — Using lessons from past growth to maximize the impact of future projects.
Better design & walkability — High-quality architecture, improved pedestrian routes, and stronger connections between Old Town, the River Corridor, INTRUST Bank Arena, and surrounding neighborhoods.
Cultural & economic upgrades — More entertainment, small businesses, housing options, and public spaces to strengthen downtown’s identity and appeal.
Built with us, not for us — The process is community-driven, shaped by workshops, surveys, and local feedback so the final plan truly reflects Wichita.
