Sorry I missed you last Friday! We went to P&M Pumpkin Patch with some friends and I totally forgot to send this out! We’ve been packing in a ton of fall activities over the past two weeks. Each of our girls filled a full bag of candy at the Valley Center Fall Festival Parade, and then the next weekend we got to walk in the Andover Parade and hand out candy ourselves! The girls also had a blast at the carnival and got to stay up riding the “big kid” rides. This really is our favorite time of year!

In other news, All Star Sports in west Wichita is reopening under new local ownership (and they want your ideas), I’ve got a full lineup of weekend events from Bootanica to ICT Bloktoberfest, and this week’s video breaks down why some Wichita homes are flying off the market while others sit... I pulled more than 7,000 sales, and the ones sitting longest weren’t the ones I expected.

All Star Sports Has New Owners!

If you grew up making memories at All Star Sports in west Wichita, there’s good news! After temporarily closing in September, the longtime family entertainment spot at 21st Street and Tyler is preparing to reopen under new local ownership. Stacie White and Bryan Nguyen are leading the new team, and many of the employees are expected to return, too.

The new owners plan to start by getting the park back up and running, then focus on fixing up existing attractions and adding new features. And here’s where the community comes in: they want to hear what YOU would like to see!Should the indoor arcade space be transformed with an obstacle course, ropes course or even ziplines? Would you rather see the driving range reimagined as an outdoor playground and hangout space for families? The owners say ideas are on the table, so now’s the time to speak up.

It’s exciting to see a familiar Wichita spot get a fresh start, especially with the community invited to help shape what comes next. What would you love to see added to All Star Sports?

These Wichita KS Homes Aren’t Selling But Others Are

Wichita’s housing market is really two markets right now. I pulled more than 7,000 home sales from the last 12 months, and half sold in about two weeks while one in five sat for more than two months. In this week’s video, I break down what separates the fast homes from the slow ones, and why timing matters if you’re listing this fall. The biggest surprise? The homes sitting the longest weren’t the ones I expected. Click below to watch the full breakdown!
