Happy Friday! Hope you survived the heat this past week. We just got back from our annual trip to Table Rock Lake, so at least we had the water to cool us off! We got to go trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo, rented a boat to take the family tubing, and the girls loved the Dolly Parton Stampede so much last year that we had to go back. I also had the pleasure of pushing our stroller up those crazy hills at Silver Dollar City (IYKYK). And yes, my legs are still sore!
In other news, Wichita's entertainment scene keeps growing with Sky Zone now open and an escape room on the way, I've got a full lineup of weekend events from a free Andover concert to Bulls, Bands & Barrels, and this week's video breaks down eight areas around Wichita with real prices, schools, and commutes... plus a school rule that just changed that most people don't know about yet.
Let’s get into it!

Wichita’s Entertainment Scene Is Growing!
If it feels like Wichita has been adding more places to get out and have fun lately, you're not imagining it! The city's entertainment scene continues to grow, and two exciting additions are giving families, friends, and date-night planners even more reasons to stay local.
Now officially open on North Rock Road, Sky Zone Wichita is bringing wall-to-wall fun with trampoline courts, ninja obstacle courses, climbing attractions, dodgeball, foam pits, and dedicated play areas for younger jumpers. Whether you're planning a birthday party, looking for an indoor activity on a hot summer day, or just want to burn off some energy, it's a welcome new addition to Wichita's lineup of family attractions.

And the fun doesn't stop there. Looking ahead to Spring 2027, Escapology is set to open near K-96 and Greenwich Road, bringing a new premium escape room experience to the east side of Wichita. The nationally recognized franchise features immersive, story-driven escape rooms where teams work together to solve puzzles, uncover clues, and beat the clock. With themes ranging from mystery and adventure to crime-solving, it'll be another great option for families, friends, team-building events, and date nights.
These additions join a growing list of entertainment destinations that have opened or expanded across the Wichita area in recent years—from places like Chicken N Pickle, Topgolf, Mega Pines Mini Golf, and the Imagine Lab to exciting projects still on the way like the Ballpark District and Legacy Bank Park.
It's exciting to see Wichita continue investing in places where people can gather, play, and make memories. Whether you're looking to jump, solve puzzles, golf, bowl, or simply spend time with family and friends, there are more options than ever—and it feels like the momentum is only getting stronger.
