Happy Friday! I can't believe how much rain we got last night (and honestly all week). I was getting constant flood warnings on my phone, which almost never happens around here. Consider this your reminder to make sure your gutters are clean and that the ground slopes away from your foundation. Getting your drainage right solves about 90% of foundation problems down the road, so don’t neglect these things (I see foundation problems almost every day!).

In other news, Mega Pines in Andover is about to open a half-mile Route 66 go-kart track, I've got a full lineup of weekend events from The Goonies under the stars to a Sawyer Brown and Lonestar show, and this week's video might ruffle a few feathers... One of the Wichita area's newest family attractions is getting even bigger. Mega Pines Mini Golf in Andover is expected to open its brand-new Route 66-themed go-kart track this July, adding another reason to visit the popular entertainment destination.

If you haven't been yet, Mega Pines already offers an 18-hole mini golf course, yard games, food and drinks, and plenty of space for families and friends to spend an afternoon together. The new go-kart track will take the fun up another notch.

The paved track will stretch half a mile long, giving drivers the chance to race around multiple laps while enjoying Route 66-inspired scenery along the way. The attraction will feature single karts for ages 9 and up, adult single karts, and double karts for riders who want to bring a passenger along (with an adult driver required).

Whether you're looking for a family outing, a little friendly competition, or a fun summer date night, this is one attraction you'll want to keep on your radar. It won't be long before visitors can hit the track and take a road trip down Route 66—without ever leaving Andover.
